on tea bags and lens

Ok. I am now in that certain point wherein I am limited to what my lens can do for me. For certain images I would like to take. Sometimes, if I want to capture a certain image, its either I move closer or step back just to have that certain look I am going after.

I am considering in getting a Canon EF 85mm F/1.8 USM Telephoto lens good for taking food images and portraits. =) But I won’t be getting the lens for this Christmas just yet. I buy a pair of eyeglasses as a present for myself. I need to take care of my eyes.

Weekends! Spent last friday with J over at ATC. Yep. Alabang. Haha. J bought a Mighty Mugg (hulk version). Isn’t this the cutest little monster ever? =) I looove it. Btw, this image is not ours. I got this from the link above mentioned. But this is the exact same toy J got last Friday. =) We went to Greenhills last Saturday to continue with my so called Christmas shopping. But that was just for my cousins and our office helpers. I haven’t bought anything for my parents and my brother. =) I might buy their gifts this week.

And and and….Tea with friends tonight! Coffee Bean and tea leaf with HS friends! ooohhh! I just love holiday get togethers! The girls i’ll be meeting with aren’t from my barkada nor from my class (section) but I just loooove them to bits! Balikbayan batchmates plus good conversations, a good way to start the week! =) I’ll see you later girls!

I have been drinking tea for 3 days already. =) I might stick to this healthier option rather than drinking coffee. Way cheaper too. One tea bag could last up to 3 cups! (just make sure that after using, place them in a small plate and chill the tea bag) Imagine the health benefits and the savings! hehehe

new lens and birthdays

I am already done counting the days before Christmas and starting to count the days before my 26th (oh gawd) birthday. Since I didn’t get to have the cash (and guts) to get myself a gift for my silver anniversary, I might get a pretty nice gift for myself next year. I might get an EF 85mm F/1.8 USM lens. It’s not that expensive (teka teka..bago humirit…) compared to the other good telephoto lens in the market. It’s cheap-ER since it does not have an Image Stablizer. Not yet sure though. I am not into portraits and landscapes but I am interested in street/candid/no acting type of shots. Does that mean I need a faster lens? I guess. But for now, I am happy and contented with my kit lens and I need tons of practicing. I just hope J is still willing to be my test subject when I get to practice some more.

the greek-jap weekend.

I have this ultimate love for Japanese food.  Had dinner over at Omakase last Sunday with the siblings and mom. “Ang sarap ng libre”. I love having dinner with my siblings plus the fact that we don’t have this chance as often as we could, I enjoyed every minute of it over fusion maki food. =) Greek food may be for some people but I know it isn’t for me. I am not a fan but I could eat Greek food once in like 10 years or so. I am a huge fan of garbanzos on my food but their garlic sauce is really something else. My brother loved the kebabs he had with rice pilaf =) I better start using my Canon again but I have yet to admit (the pictures in here), Nikon cameras really do give that certain “pop” in the images in terms of color. But I still love my 450D nonetheless. Need to have a new lens too and maybe an external flash to cap off the camera wishlist that I have yet to take note of.
