Jack Johnson
Who’s to say
What’s impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There’s no stopping curiosity
I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I’ll find the things they say just can’t be found
I’ll share this love I find with everyone
We’ll sing and dance to Mother Nature’s songs
I don’t want this feeling to go away
Who’s to say
I can’t do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren’t always just what they seem
I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I’ll find the things they say just can’t be found
I’ll share this love I find with everyone
We’ll sing and dance to Mother Nature’s songs
This world keeps spinning and there’s no time to waste
Well it all keeps spinning spinning round and round and
Upside down
Who’s to say what’s impossible and can’t be found
I don’t want this feeling to go away
Anyone?

Hahaha. Natawa lang ako. What a song. I remembered one episode of Ugly Betty where this was sung before a wedding in its most choir like tune. NAKAKATAWA.
Anyway. Starting my day right by laughing.
GOod Morning and IT’S FRIDAY!!!!

2nd year for outreach
Posted in Uncategorized on December 2, 2009 by happyskiesI have been employed in this company for almost 2 years, and last Christmas (..i gave you my heart), we had an outreach called <company name> helps for the holidays. This year, instead of spending soo much on company gifts and parties, they are doing it again this year, outreach. It’s fun really. More on having fun with the kids, buying stuff for them to enjoy and the food plus a mascot to boot. Aside from J’s company outreach (which we already have gifts for), we also have this.
Speaking of gift giving pala, ANG HIRAP BUMILI NG TOYS SA BATA. Can I just reiterate that?? Wag na. haha Pero Seriously, I didn’t know it’s this hard to buy a gift for a certain age who belongs to a given demographic. Ang daming dapat iconsider. Like last night, J and I were in Toy Kingdom looking for toys for my girl and his boy. I was weighing the factors such as: would she like something useful? something pink? a Doll? what does she like? is she into the arts? is she a boy? (JOKE) among others. And mind you…this is A GIRL. J had a more difficult time choosing the right gift for his boy so we spent a good 1.5 hours roaming Toy Kingdom.
When I was a kid, I just enjoyed receiving gifts. Period. But kids nowadays are different. The more techie the gift is, the better. My god daughter has her PSP and she wont expect anything leaning towards that anytime soon. I wanted to give her something from Lisa Frank. Yung colorful na items with dogs, dolphins among others. I used to have one from Lisa Frank…it was a trapper keeper. (OLD SCHOOL!!) A trapper keeper is a like a binder where you can keep all your stuff such as paper fillers, folders, notebooks, pens etc. I am planning to give her that. But I dont know if she’ll actually use/like it.
one step at a time
Posted in Uncategorized on December 2, 2009 by happyskiesI believe I have posted this song way before. I always get inspired whenever I hear this. It brings me back to where and what I should be doing and what I should do to achieve my goals. Parang eye-opener ng paulit ulit. Salamat Jordin Sparks sa kantang ito.
“One Step At A Time”
Hurry up and wait
So close, but so far away
Everything that you’ve always dreamed of
Close enough for you to taste
But you just can’t touch
You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you’re gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you’re feeling more and more frustrated
And you’re getting all kind of impatient waiting
[Chorus:]
We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There’s no need to rush
It’s like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It’s gonna happen and it’s
Supposed to happen and we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time
You believe and you doubt
You’re confused, you got it all figured out
Everything that you always wished for
Could be yours, should be yours, would be yours
If they only knew
You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you’re gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you’re feeling more and more frustrated
And you’re getting all kind of impatient waiting
[Chorus]
When you can’t wait any longer
But there’s no end in sight
when you need to find the strength
It’s your faith that makes you stronger
The only way you get there
Is one step at a time
speaking of gifts
Posted in Uncategorized on December 1, 2009 by happyskiesWho said anything about working people not okay with receiving gifts??? TAO DIN KAMI! hahahah we were once kids and still has that tinge of childlike giddy feeling when receiving gifts so cmon, don’t be shy! Hahaha. I totally want and expect my parents to give me a Philosophy Pure Grace Lotion. Hahaha! Yes! I want that bottle! Why? It smells like freshly laundered clothes! not the Ajax/Ariel type of scent you get after having your clothes washed. BASTA! It’s a simple gift lang naman. Nothing much.
This smells soooo good! =) Promise!
Anyway, I am excited because this year, J will be having Christmas with us! =) Yaay! =)
Yun lang muna for now. Gotta eat breakfast. I’m hungry.
don’t rain on my parade.
Posted in Uncategorized on December 1, 2009 by happyskiesThe subject does not have anything to do with this entry. I just love the mix of words used in that song title kaya I just placed it there. Anyhoot, I already got J’s gift! I am soo happy! Sa sobrang saya, hindi ko na maibalik sa box yung gift. I am sucha slob! After unwrapping, I totally forgot how to place it inside the box! Rawr. Ang simple na nga lang, hindi ko pa magawa!
I am just soo happy with the gift! Sana hindi ako ma addict kasi if ever, medyo pricey!
Thanks again sweetie for the gift! Ikaw naman ang bbilhan ko ng regalo.

Christmas is for giving (repeat 100x).

Did my holiday shopping already and I am almost broke. I am not yet done. I bought gifts for cousins and aunts and uncles already. Bought my brother’s gift too and my goodness, hindi ko ata kinaya sa mahal (Sennheiser earphones, hindi nga ako makabili ng earphones!!!!) =( Ok lang, its his birthday + holiday gift so I guess it gives me that enough justification. I have yet to buy a gift for my sister (NARS blush), my parents and boyfriend.
Actually bought stuff for myself too. I got a brush roll for my brushes (duh), Cure Aqua Gel for my face, a necklace and a pair of earrings all from the St. James Bazaar. Wait there’s more. I will be paying for the Suelas shoes I ordered (hi Kai!) and the RENT tickets. Speaking of RENT, here’s the official poster made by a friend (hi MIK!). So many pretty things, too little moolah. Rawr. Cannot wait for this week to end.
2 weeks to go, the working class “sembreak” begins.
